Throughout the property, the Gira Pushbutton Sensor 4.55 was selected to complement both the intelligent functionality of the KNX system and the refined material palette used across the interiors. Finished in Black Matt and paired with the Black Matt Esprit frame, the switches integrate seamlessly within the darker architectural tones and contemporary detailing found throughout the home.

The clean, minimalist design of the Pushbutton Sensor 4.55 allows the technology to remain visually discreet while providing intuitive everyday control. Its slim profile and premium finish ensure the interfaces sit naturally within the wider interior scheme.

Configured as part of the wider Gira KNX System, each interface provides multi-functional control from a single switch point, allowing the homeowners to manage lighting, scene settings, heating, and other smart home functions with ease. Following consultations between Carbon Integration and the homeowners, bespoke inscriptions were added to each rocker to provide clear, personalised labelling for the various functions assigned throughout the home. The custom labels enhance usability by making the smart technology and controls immediately understandable for the homeowners as well as their guests, while also maintaining the clean and cohesive aesthetic of the installation.

The “Welcome” scene activates selected lighting to create an inviting atmosphere, while the “Goodbye” scene switches off lighting and selected systems throughout the property, helping to reduce unnecessary energy use when the home is unoccupied.

Scene control also allows individual spaces to adapt effortlessly throughout the day. In the home cinema, customised settings automatically adjust lighting levels to create the ideal viewing environment, while in the pooja room carefully controlled lighting supports a calm and reflective atmosphere. By coordinating multiple lighting layers and smart functions simultaneously, scenes create balanced environments without the need to adjust individual controls.
