In Autumn 2016, leading Georgian interior Designer, Etons of Bath, unveiled an elegant show home in Bath, a major heartland of Georgian architecture. During a six-month renovation, Etons of Bath tuned the space into an inspiring and atmospheric 3-bedroom apartment. Created to showcase their signature style: classic, elegant with a contemporary English twist. The design vision was to create the perfect balance between classic and contemporary by using the proportions and space of the period property to its best advantage.
Wandsworth Electrical was selected to supply the designer switches and sockets to feature throughout the property. Selecting the slimline, screwless Penthouse collection, in an antique bronze finish for the kitchen and living space, to match the bronze kitchen taps and handles.
Meeting modern demand, USB Integrated sockets also from the Penthouse Collection were selected and allow simple charging of smart devices. Wandsworth Lighting Controls, helped bring intelligence to the beautiful design. With LED Dimming control and a ‘all off; switch at the exit, that at a press, turns all the lights off as you exit the property, saving energy.
Within the bedrooms, Integrated USB”s were placed in convenient positions for users. Statement wallpaper was used within the design so selecting the Crystal Collection allowed the design to be clearly visible, as the Crystal Collection offers clear face-plates. Whilst Bright nickel light switches were used to complement the wallpaper design.
Founder of Etons of Bath, Sarah Latham commented: “When we embarked on the project Wandsworth Electrical were the supplier of choice due to their wide collection of designer switches and sockets, that vary from period to contemporary and all with numerous finishes. We knew the small details would be taken care of and we were also able to specify bespoke designs with 5 and 6 gang plates unique to this project. Their attention to detail, craftsmanship and expertise guarantees high quality products and specials that have enhanced the overall look and feel of every room’’
